Hi guys, is there anyone in the Teesside area could assist me? I have two LP's that i need digitising/converting to WAV files. Any help would be appreciated.

I have used Audacity which is free and fairly straightforward.

Which LP's?

might be easier to just buy the CDs and rip those?

If knew , I would keep it to myself.

Halfway Hotel and Act Of Love by Voyager. It is available on CD but the cheapest i have found online is over £90 each hence ripping the lp's. I would be grateful for any help.

You need some sort of ADC (analogue to digital convertor). Schiit make one called the Jil. Many USB DACs also have a 'line-in' socket that does the same.

I have an old Terratec Aureon that I use.

It is so long ago I have a job to remember what I did. I did not have a phono stage at the time and seem to recall plugging the lead from my TT into thd desk top PC. It was a bit time consuming to get the levels right, but in the end the results sounded quite good.

Yes - many PC's have a 'line in' or 'audio in' socket, that will do it as well.
