When i saw him 30 years ago, he did two hours with just an acoustic guitar. Was incredible.
Time has not been kind to his talent.
He looks great though.

Not the next but the last live listen.
Got to see Haevn at Hammersmith last night. Excellent. I believe this was their only UK date and it was a sell out.

I used to work with the keyboard player's (Jason Sawford's) brother for a while, a rufty-tufty Aussie named "Tristan," who sold antiques on the side. He got me to listen to some of their recordings and watch their videos. I'd be surprised if you can find a better "tribute" act anywhere.

Check out some of their vids on YouTube and you'll see why they're billed as "The Australian Pink Floyd Show". They're a lot more than a covers band.

Perhaps we need a sub-section for tribute bands given the proliferation of them.

Probably best to keep things as they are because there are grey areas. So many bands have only one original member and solo artists mainly perform songs from the band that made them famous. I am seeing Steve Hackett tomorrow and half the set will be The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. This is as close as you are going to get to classic era Genesis, but is it a tribute band?

Saw Steve Hackett last night. As usual the first half of the set was solo material, both old and new. Following the interval it was all Genesis. Although it was the Lamb tour the album was not performed in full, just the best parts which were the highlight of the night for me. He joked about the length of the album making reference to Topographic Oceans. A number of tracks from Selling England were played along with a thankyou to John Lennon for his favourable comments about the album which gained Genesis needed recognition in the US. The encore was a pleasant surprise, the finale of A trick of the tail. It will be the 50th anniversary of that album next year.

All in all a very enjoyable evening.
