Due to the wonder that is Amazon the Arch Druid has manifested himself, and it is another fine piece of work. On first listen I think he's getting even more ornery, if that was possible. I may have to try to fill in some of the many gaps in his back catalogue.

Hope parcelforce treat the Marantz better than our last delivery of dog food. How do you break dog food you may ask, I don't know but they managed to destroy 8 out of 12 cans...

That's not a bad live album from them.

The new Jean-Michel Jarre 'Oxymore' has been released to mixed reviews. From what I can see it seems to be an 'experimental' album in the vein of 'ZooLook' which also divided opinion into love/hate camps.

I will probably get it anyway as it might grow with repeated listens and apparently it is a blast on headphones!

Edit: ordered - in tomorrow.

This order is entirely your fault as I'd missed it earlier. should be here tomorrow.

If I had to choose between Hawkwind's We Are Looking In On You and Dreamworkers Of Time – The BBC Recordings 1985-1995, 3CD Box Set, The BBC set wins, later live Hawk stuff is good, but is starting to sound as if it's "by the numbers", the older stuff still sounds fresh - if that makes any sense?

Still in space, after a fashion this looks very interesting, and will be downloaded in hi res very shortly.

Has anybody else noticed that the prices of newly-released CDs are dropping?

I have pre-ordered the forthcoming Yes album 'Mirror to the Sky', Mike Oldfield 'Tubular Bells 50' and some others. Where I would have been forking out at least 23 Euro or so a year or two ago, these are now averaging about 18. The new album from The National I got for 12 Euro.

The dominance of streaming and the rise of (highly profitable) vinyl has the humble silver disc dropping in popularity.....

.... and I intend to take full advantage of this!
