It'll be nice to see a "What should I buy?" type thread on this forum.

I'm confident that the general level of advice will be higher than some forums I could think of...

Marqymarq wrote: Tue Apr 27, 2021 4:42 pm Hi there - new to the forum and only really back into HiFi in the last year or so since retiring from work. Recommissioned my Rega P3 but I wanted to get into streaming to broaden my music horizons. Have got myself a Naim Uniti Atom last year which is great but I’m hatching a plan for another room. So, where do I ask product advice? Cheers, Mark
Hi Mark, welcome. I am sure you will get good advice here, you certainly won’t get specific recommendations from me, my newest Hi-Fi item 20 years old so I haven’t a clue about what is available.

The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask.

Hi All,
I've been lurking on here for some time and decided to join having just ordered a "starter bundle" from NVA. Previously had a Project Audio based system on the basis it was compact and unobtrusive but have decided to make the the loft conversion my music room - at least when the grand-daughter isn't staying!
Decided to have a change from Class A and have long been an admirer of the NVA selling model as I can audition at leisure in the room/furnishings the system wil be used in.
Just got to be patient and wait for

Hi DavyTed. Hope you are enjoying the nva starter system. What speakers and source(s) are you using with it ?

I started in similar fashion, although the preamp and speaker cables you're getting are much improved from what I began with. I hope your experience is as positive as mine: don't feel pressured one way or the other - just listen and trust your own ears. It's all about the music and your own enjoyment.
I think I might be in the HiFi trade.
I am not currently seeking treatment for this.
Current System: Linn LP12 Lingo Ekos Troika, NVA PHONO2 with BBPSU, NVA AP20 (White), Quad ESL 57s &/or NVA Cube3s (White)

The starter bundle I only ordered beginning of this week and delivery is 4 - 6 weeks so I have to be patient - not my strong point!
Sources are a cheap Tangent CD player with Micromega MyDac and Audio Technica AT LP5X turntable with AT95ML. Speakers are Markaudio Sota Cesti MB which being single driver should present an easy load for the NVA amp. These will all remain and at present are used with a Pear Drop class A amp. I also have the option on a "low mileage" Sonneteer The Bard phono stage to replace the inbuilt AT unit. Yet to sample this but could be interesting.
Thanks for your interest.
