It is possible for people to mature and to change their political views as they do so.
My views now are not the same as the ones I had when I was 14.

Re: Taking the piss out of politics
It is possible that Farage's views are essentially much the same as they were in his youth, but as he's 'matured' he's learnt to cloak those views in more socially acceptable language, affected bonhomie and skilful ambiguity.
When it's boiled down, though, there's not really a cigarette paper between the imagery of the 1970s 1980s era National Front and the Breaking Point poster that Farage stood so proudly on in the Brexit referendum.
The sad thing, for me, is that our mainstream politicians have been so weak that it has left a vacuum for him to fill.

Re: Taking the piss out of politics
Sunak flew home early from the D-Day remembrance ceremonies so he could take part in an interview where he doubled (Tripled? Quadrupled? ) down on the lies he told during the Leaders' Debate. This appears to be yet another attempt to shoot himself in the foot while his foot is in his mouth, thereby blowing his political head off
Mrs Macron trying to hold hands with Camilla was quite funny though, and illustrates once more how archaic and anachronistic our Monarchy has become. She should have been reminded she's NOT the Queen of France, with Mme Macron informing her that "Tu n'es pas ma Reine, salope.".
What a headline the papers missed though, or at least, the ones I've seen did...

Brigitte Macron offers Queen Camilla the hand of friendship but gets the cold shoulder in return.

Re: Taking the piss out of politics
I thought it was rather amusing that we're holding an election on the US 'Independence Day', and they are holding their election on the day we celebrate an attempt to blow up Parliament . . .

I'm still having fun with this AI art(?) malarkey, hopefully proving that you can teach on old dog to change its spots, or whatever...
