I watched some of that on TV this afternoon,. and Salmond was coming over exceptionally well I thought. He was very measured in his delivery, and he at least sounded very sincere in what he was saying and rather credible with too.

Mind you, lying straight-faced to camera is meat and drink to most "good" politicians.

He's a bit too sanctimonious for me. I also get the feeling that he can be a nasty bit of work, something of the bully about him. All completely unevidenced, lol.

This spat might be Johnson's best chance of scuppering Scottish independence.

More grounded than most political leaders then? :angelic-whiteflying:

And is he being lined up for a job in the Home Office? :violence-smack: I think he'd do a Priti good job there.

A theme of the Harry Meghan Oprah interview was how concerned they've been about their safety...

So they moved to Southern California, which is a part of the world with absolutely no gun toting crazy people in it. :violence-pistoldouble:

You can't blame Alex for being sanctimonious. Given that all the allegations and charges against him appear to be based on lies and as a consequence he has had six years of hell .

If it were me ,I would turn up to every interview with a ghetto blaster with a sound track of shaggys 'wasnt me ' and mc hammer 'you can touch this' and proceed to dance before I spoke.

I met him years ago ( when he needed my vote ) and he came across as a decent enough guy. However, I'm firmly in support of Nicola Sturgeon in all this. I bet Boris and co and loving all this and I wouldn't be surprised if they're playing a part in it with some disinformation.

Here's the thing with Sturgeon & Salmond, they are both seasoned successful politicians, they both know each other inside out.
This being the case Sturgeon must at the bare minimum thought Salmond was capable of the things he was accused of. It also follows Sturgeon knows she would have to have utterly compelling evidence before allowing proceedings to commence because if she did not he would fight the charges with everything he had. And yet it appears that there was no compelling evidence and as a result civil war has broken out in the normally well run SNP. Sturgeon has by far the most to lose and in my opinion it's already gone to far any sort of amicable agreement so I fully expect more damage to the SNP. I think Sturgeon will rue the day she started proceedings.
