If there was another referendum then If it was a remain victory then I cannot see it being by much, and will probabaly be similar figures to the previous event but maybe reversed ie 52/48. Then surely a president has been set, and "leave" would then be campaigning for a best of Three? When does it end???

Agreed, but if the last vote had been 52/48 in favor of remain do you think Farage would have admitted defeat and gone away?

I don't think a second referendum will be all that close. Many of the previous Brexetiers will realise that jobs and living standards are at stake and see through the tabloid :Bllocks: .

We are trying to get the eggs out of a cake that we baked over 40 years ago. It is a hugely complex and contentious task.

We need to think of it in terms of a ten year transition, minimum.

Don't read the tabloids nor do many (most likely) that voted Brexit. It's about political independence. There is no evidence that jobs will be affected. Maybe all the supposed extra form filling will create jobs. Actually less immigration will increase labour demand and wages. Sadly too old to benefit.

Exactly my point Nick, so unless there is a clear majority who have changed their minds in the last 18 months ( and in my opinion it will have to be a lot clearer than 52/48 in favour of remain) then this could go on for some time if another referendum is allowed.

Or actually get behind the EU project 100% and turn it into a success with us as part of it instead of sitting in the wings complaining. It makes no difference is I am governed from London or Brussels, but so far it seems to me that Brussels wins on all the things I find important.

That would be my choice...but (it is arguable that) we have made our bed, now.

The important thing is most people who voted leave would have accepted the result. The remainers refuse to accept the result and are trying every trick to overturn it. These people are anti democratic, think they know best and think leave voters are thick.
