No because I knew how I was going to vote once Cameron got no meaningful concessions over free movement. I didn't give a bollocks what either side claimed because most of it was complete bollocks same as any election campaign. Frankly I didn't like the way EU had gone and took statements made in the campaign as electionairing puff. Picking over what politicians said in the campaign and assuming that influenced anyone is futile. You don't know why individuals voted one way or another and I doubt many took what politicians said literally. We had easy peasy v project fear so the truth is likely somewhere in between.
Do you apply the same forgiveness / pragmatism to MPs who said they would accept 'Leave' but now want a 2nd referendum?

None of us know why every individual voted how they did, and I haven't claimed to, but it is ridiculous to suggest that repeatedly being told that we would leave with a good deal is irrelevant, so spare me such silliness.
What are you talking about. Not even making sense now Savvy? I'm not forgiving anyone. I don't have to forgive anyone on either side. I made my own decisions on Brexit. Just pleased the Brexit campaign won whatever rubbish was said. Do i hate anyone - certainly trots like Corbyn and his crowd. Hearing the news this morning has made me very angry. Wasting more money scrapping Universal Credit and a liberal plot to bring trumped up charges against Boris when Mayor. We have now gone into a parallel universe with events in the USA.
I forgot - immigration is behind your decision.

I don't criticise...but there will be no change in numbers.

Immigration is only part of why people voted out. Main reason is I hate the EU controlling bureaucracy which is a waste of money and makes most of our rules. Obviously migration needs to be controlled as population has to not exceed the capacity of public services and housing available. It appears some people want a total free for all. The trot plot to grab parliament is still in the news backed by the Scottish Nationalists who frankly should have no influence on the UK parliament.

We will end up following EU rules, but we won't have a say anymore in making those rules.

The SNP hold the majority of Scottish seats at Westminster and the majority of seats at Holyrood. It is the 'will of the people' that they should have an influence within the UK.

Brexit will make Scottish independence more likely.

Most of Corbyn's policies would be considered mainstream in most of Europe.

If you believe that you are deluded. More extreme policies by the day. EU don't like nationalisation. They forced the Greek government to privatise a lot of state owned enterprises. Also would likely frown on confiscating property. Corbyn will fall fowle of EU rules if we stay in and he must know it. He is really a leaver but has been captured by his own party and forced to sit on the fence. There are far more extreme people behind Corbyn who I admit is a relative pussycat.

Exactly!
The reaction of the right wing press and by osmosis, their readership has been totally hysterical ever since he was elected Labour leader. What are they all scared of?
The one every hour resignations of the Blair faction, straight after he was elected was embarrassing and frankly pathetic.

This country has been hysterical for far longer than since the 2016 referendum and frankly I am sick to the back teeth of it.
And as for the Labour policy of getting rid of Universal Credit; it can’t come quick enough for me!

Same old Tory outrage from some sections on here and everywhere else. All their voters care about is how much it is going to cost them personally. Zero social conscience, self self self!
As a teacher in a primary school, I had to witness kids coming to school, not having had any breakfast, which is why we set up breakfast clubs, funded by voluntary donations in the first place. And yes, we got the “Why should I” brigade whining about feeding other peoples kids, and that the parents of the poor should maybe stop buying fags, booze and drugs. In the end a lot of us funded breakfast clubs out of our own pockets, bought basic learning resources ourselves.

Anyway, I’m off topic again, but sorry, that’s how I feel, living in and having taught for twenty years, in one of the most smashed up, deprived areas in the country and having witnessed the effects that this bunch of rich, spoilt brats have had on the vulnerable population, especially in the North.

The compromise needs to be, to make sure that the vulnerable in society are looked after, housed properly, fed properly, educated properly, given hope that of they can make something of themselves on a level playing field and not have their faces ground into the dirt before they even leave secondary school; you know Socialism like we had after the war. A world where there is no room for the mean-spirited, narrow minded, me, me, me, why should I brigade.

I’m left wing and proud of it. My late dad (God bless him) taught me well.

Corbyn's policies are based on individuals making small sacrifices for the good of the whole of society.

Tory policy is based on 95% of society making unnecessary sacrifices to benefit the richest 5% of society.

The trick to getting elected, for a socialist, is to do the first while appearing to do the second.

The vulnerable population in the north appear to be the most pro brexit, no doubt brainwashed by the tabloids. As well as being a closed brexiteer, Corbyn is scared of losing their votes.

The way I see it a very rich and privaleged elete will make hay out of brexit at the expense of everyone else. The very influential tabloid owners are part of this despicable group. Dominic Cummings is their spearhead. Since leading the brexit campaign he has progressed to being the special advsor to the clown puppet PM whom he has previousy stabbed in the back and was also previously critical of Rees-Mong. God help us and the fools who cant see through the :Bllocks:
