Hello Dave. Yes, the lazy, on forums all day farmers will still be getting handjobs but it is all changing over the next few years. Instead of the amount being linked to how many acres you farm (I've got 20 acres and you've got 43) an environmental payment will be made which rewards the things you do for habitat and wildlife.

The CAP type payments are being phased out whilsf the new ELM ( environmental land management) scheme is being phased in. This change starts now but Boris and his buffoons haven't even told us exactly how it will work yet :lol:

I wasn't referring to you Stu, honest, but now you mention it, you do post quite a bit on forums, oh and seem to have plenty of time for speaker and amp builds ;)

Dave, if there was an award for cheekiest poster on High Farming Society you would be sure to win it :grin: We all love you for it though :guiness;

It's a hobby Stu, hobbies aren't meant to be taken to seriously, but enjoyed.

I'd have brought my extensive and unmatched experience to this thread much earlier, but I've been very, very busy foraging for truffles and having old friends for dinner. Whenever feasible, one should always try to eat the rude.

Reminds me of the apocryphal CV for an conservative candidate where the applicant stated that their experience included sorting out young farmers balls while at university.

I guess there's more to politics and farming than a greasy pole...

Pissing down here :roll: Dull and dreary just like the nation's spirits today :violin:

Had my second covid jab yesterday so I am feeling a bit crap on several fronts.

Trying to cheer myself up with some speaker experiments and listening in between the paper work.

Pissing down here. Was nice until an hour ago when I was sat out side with headphones on.

A black cloud has descended over England...but not the rest of the UK...was the weather announcement first thing on Radio 4, this morning.
