A 6 part series all available on BBC iPlayer with a veritable who's who of British acting talent on show. Anything with the great Lesley Manville and Robert Glenister in must be good in my eyes. Set in a small Notts mining village, the devastation of the miners strike is still ripping the community apart, a superb drama.
It was very good. I am aware of a lot of what went on in the 1980s and the Government's pit closing agenda as I had a lot of dealings with Tower Colliery and Tyrone O'Sullivan at work. In 2002 I even went down to the coal face which was quite an experience.

Sherwood was, indeed, brilliant. Although I live "Darn Sarf," I was an active trade unionist during the miners' strike, and it brought back a lot of memories. The good (I hope) news, is that it's coming back for a second series.

We also watched Sherwood, brought back memories for me also since I was working in Doncaster and living in Armthorpe, a mining village at the time of the strike. Thoroughly enjoyed the series although there were a couple of unanswered questions at the end.

Many similarities. We are reaping the consequences of the dash for gas and doing away with coal.

No, there's not enough government-sponsored violence.

"The Terminal List" is turning out to be a good bit of ultra-violent fun, with much swearing and the odd bit of (quite graphic) torture and disembowelling. I'm 7 episodes in and definitely sticking with it to the end.

You don't exactly have to binge watch this, it's only 3 episodes but I watched the Trainwreck documentary on Netflix last night.

It's about the ill fated 1999 Woodstock festival and how it steadily deteriorated into a disaster zone. Some of the stuff is unbelievable, I had no idea. So many factors contributed to what unfolded. As for the organisers, what a reprehensible bunch they are. Well worth a watch.

We've just finished watching The Offer, it's about the making of the film The Godfather, I think 10 episodes and if you have the chance to see this, it comes very highly recommended, don't ask where we got it from ;)
Also just started the final series of Better Call Saul.

I keep meaning to start watching this but never get round to it, having loved Breaking Bad so much. Maybe I will but there are so many episodes I'm not sure I can muster that much enthusiasm now. Having said that I watched the entire Sopranos series about 20 years after it first came out and was kicking myself that I'd left it so long.
