Just watched the first series of this. Very funny, and poignant...

Trailer has lots of bad language

I have only recently started watching Game of Thrones. Got about five episode in of the first series. I am enjoying it and can't believe i left it this long. At least there are plenty of series to go at.

Good to see Sean Bean in the type of role he is most suited to. He does a good yorkshire tea advert though

One cannot simply walk into Mordor...........

I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall watch no Game of Thrones...

I saw that on a mug in HMV.

It maybe sounds daft, but since my wife passed away I find it very difficult to sit down and just watch TV programs, or films, on my own. I can't concentrate unless whatever I'm watching is (to me) extremely interesting, or gripping. I tend to find myself buggering about on my Chromebook, or my iPad at the same time as viewing. It makes watching anything with subtitles very difficult now.

I've only recently got into "Inside No.9" . Wonderful, very clever, dark, funny and all available on BBC iPlayer.

Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton are very talented writers and performers.

For some reason I am absolutely hooked on 'Death in Paradise' at the moment. Currently into season 4 with Kris Marshall as the absent-minded DI Humphrey Goodman.

Probably the Caribbean sun and sand as antidote to a rainy, windy and (very) flat & muddy Dutch landscape.
