I've got one episode left of Star Trek: Discovery series 4, and the good news is the show's been picked up for a fifth series.
They've also almost finished shooting Picard, series 3, which will be the final series.
I found Discovery a bit on the painful side, this coming from a die hard trekkie. Too earnest, too much time spent analyzing feelings during emergencies. What's with some of the waistlines? The costume makers must have had a hard time keeping up.
Loved Picard, hate seeing Patrick Stewart so old. Mind you i hate looking in the mirror too.

I was watching an episode of original Star Trek the other day. It was the one where god like beings took over kirk's and spock's bodies and they speak in echoey voices because of this. Kirk dies and comes back to life again. Spock is injected with what we are told is highly lethal poison, which turns out to be merely a powerful sedative as part of a ruse.
As I was watching, my wife came in and said "Why are you watching this kiddie's movie?"
She had a point.

If anyone's Got access to Apple TV+ I'll recommend trying this out when it airs in April. I've read many of Mick Herron's books, on which this is based, and they're really good. And Gary Oldman, and Kristin Scott-Thomas.

Feels like a follow up to The Wire (same producers), but isn't. Does a similar job, though, of exposing the hard-baked failings of the American system...

I've finally got around to "Stranger Things," and it took a bit of perseverance (I normally avoid things starring children, especially American children, like the plague) but it was worth it. I'm a couple of episodes into s2 now.
Sticking with kids, Alex Rider was surprisingly good considering that at 68 I'm probably not the target demographic.
There's a new series starting on Amazon today, called "The Terminal List" which looks quite interesting, especially if you're a lover of explosions, car chases, etc. and a plotline vaguely reminiscent of Blind Spot, or The Black List. Chris Pratt stars.

Best thing we've watched this year has been the excellent Sherwood on BBC1. A 6 part series all available on BBC iPlayer with a veritable who's who of British acting talent on show. Anything with the great Lesley Manville and Robert Glenister in must be good in my eyes. Set in a small Notts mining village, the devastation of the miners strike is still ripping the community apart, a superb drama.
