I've enjoyed the first couple of episodes of Bloodlands. Fast paced, taut, well acted. And you've got to love James Nesbitt's facial expressions...

I've just binge watched the French police drama Spiral in February, all 8 series. Don't know why I didn't watch it from the off but glad I've caught up now, I thought it was brilliant, right up there with The Wire. Great writing, acting, twists and turns galore, with characters who will live long in the memory (Judge Roban, Josephine Karlsson). Certainly not a Paris Tourist Board production, that's for sure.

We too have binged on Spiral - fantastic - although I never want to go back to Paris!
Interesting judicial system - ours cannot surely be as disjointed!

I know. I was completely unaware of the French judicial system, and it's quite confusing at first. However, it makes for great television.

Also, I do like the French police methods of questioning suspects, no softly softly approach for them

Gilou questioning technique - quick whack to the head - excellent!
Just like it was when I started teaching 50 years ago!

Anyone else seen 'Squid Game' on Netflix? Bizarre Korean psycho-thriller. Gory, fascinating and addictive.
