If enough tory MPs think he is a liability his days are numbered.

I suspect Plan B will be anounced shortly with the sole intention of diverting attention from the parties.

I hate to say this, and I do believe that these parties speak to an important breach of trust, but the whole mess IS just another Tory "dead cat," where they've chosen what they consider to be the least of their sins to distract us from the dangerous and harmful legislation they're trying to pass at the moment, which could cost us our civil liberties, our human rights, and our National Health Service. I hope they've badly misjudged the mood of the country, and that of many within their own party.

Allegra Stratton has resigned over *that* video. Olivia Stratton, whose husband is best buddies with Rishi Sunak. The Strattons are godparents to the Sunak children, and vice-versa. Sunak wants the top job. Is it too much to suggest that the "leaked" film came from Stratton herself, on the understanding that she would be "looked after," when the time was right?

There was a time when I'd have written that little lot of as my natural left-wing bias with a pinch of paranoia thrown in, but considering the long list of Conservative-concocted shenanigans, I'll stand by it as at least a genuine possibility, because they've proved, over and over, that's how they work.

ROLL UP, ROLL UP. GET YER NICE, JUICY, CONSPIRACY THEORIES HERE. GOBBLE EM UP WHILE THEY'RE RED HOT. :epopc:

An interesting take Slinger.

I guess it all hinges on how clever & devious one believes the bastards are.

My view.
Clever: not very.
Devious: totally fucking.

Hope this helps the debate...

It seems strange that it has taken nearly a year for information about this party to come out with the video closely following. My conspiracy theory is that Dominic Cummings is in some way behind it. He is clever and vindictive. There could be more to come.

Re: Opinions on how the Government have handled the coronavirus outbreak

For nearly the last two years I have shunned indoor public spaces, restaurants, pubs, foreign holidays, public transport. I did this because I did not trust the Government and ultimately it is down to each individual to set their own level of covid precautions in the absence of any proper guidance from gov. The economy has not done well out of me for the last two years but frankly I thought what I was doing was more important.

We find ourselves at the start of another wave which could be the biggest yet. Nobody really knows enough about Omicron apart from it is the most transmissible strain yet to appear. It may turn out to be less severe as regards symptoms but I aren't taking any chances. Booster is booked, masks worn in shops if I have to enter one, hand washing constantly. I have had no nights out for xmas and it will stay that way.

There is one problem that I have though. I am due to play at a dinner dance on New Years Eve at the Grand Hotel in York, the massive one next to the train station. It got cancelled last year and rightly so. I was willing to do this years but this new variant has me nervous now. The gig hasn't been cancelled and if gov guidance does not change then I expect it will go ahead unless the Hotel has too many people cancelling.

I don't want to let my band mates down and I can't really as contract has been signed. Oh what a pickle. I hope the Hotel pulls it and saves my undercrackers.
