It's only a shame that they didn't dump their spoiled catches on Johnson's doorstep. Mind you, with all the nefarious bollocks that goes on inside Number 10 it probably smells fishy enough already.

My latest Brexit rant on Farcebook. You can suffer it too.
"This is not the Brexit we voted for," the businessmen Brexiters (is it Brexiters, or Brexiteers, I never know?) are currently bleating, like Brexit was some sort of multiple-choice option and Johnson had ticked "B" by mistake when it should have been option "C".

Well, lads, I'm sorry, but it is precisely the Brexit you voted for, you were just too blinded by bullshit, dished out 3 words at a time, to see it for what it was.

"Get Brexit Done," they said, "Take Back Control," and "Believe In Britain," when what they actually meant was "Line My Pockets," "I'm Alright Jack," and "Fuck You Lot."

It was the biggest decision of your lives and you couldn't be arsed to scrutinise it. Men and women with the supposed business acumen to run successful companies couldn't spot the same clues that were staring the rest of us in the face. The same face that was getting redder and redder in fact as we tried to warn you while you blithely brushed our concerns aside. What did we know, eh?

It turns out that we actually knew quite a bit. Still, you carry on saying "nobody told us," like you've been in some weird, Brexity, parallel universe for a few years if it makes you feel better.

Promises of unicorns and rainbows from a man who lies as easily, and almost as regularly, as most of us breathe? What could possibly go wrong?

I mean, Jesus, the man's even been sacked for lying. Twice! And yet you trusted him and his inept gaggle of cronies with your futures! Not only that, but you also trusted him with my future, so thanks very much for that.

There were plenty of clues, but perhaps you just didn't want to see them? He offered you money, power, and success, and you, you greedy bastards, lapped it up without a second thought, or probably without even a first thought.

Along with many other people, I have been asking one question of Brexiters over the last four-and-a-half years, and that is "Can you show me one tangible benefit I will gain due to our leaving the EU?"

So far the silence is deafening.

I recently saw the UK described as being like a "Premier League footballer who had the idea that he'd be better off leaving his club to embark on a solo career." It's not perfect, but it conveys our situation reasonably well to my mind.

You may say that this is just me "remoaning" well it's not, I'm moaning - no "re" involved - at you, for your incredible short-sightedness, your greed, and your innate trust in a haystack-headed, mendacious, duplicitous, serial philanderer who would rather chase skirt than trade deals.

He would be out of his depth in a kiddies' paddling pool, and yet you lot were prepared to not only join him in the paddling pool, but dive in from the 10-Metre board.

You trusted this man with your future, and everyone else's future too, and never has "I told you so," had such a hollow and unfulfilling ring to it.

The Government's reaction to this self inflicted mess reminds me of the scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail where the knight guarding the crossing is decapitated. "Only a flesh wound".

I only wish that the pathetic travesty that is Brexit was one-percent as funny as Monty Python's weakest joke.
