In my opinion, the only good thing about it is that Johnson & Gove will be toast within the next 3 years.
That's fine if you think Starmer and his gang will make a better job of not fucking up the UK.

I think they'd be a slightly worse flavour of the same basic thing. Because they will increase Government spending at an even faster rate than Boris's Gang.
I'm inclined to share that point of view Lindsay, and I am still hopeful that a sensible deal with the EU will be done.
It looks like a sensible deal will depend upon the UK not breaking international law.

Toroidy have stopped taking orders from the UK until they know what the trading arrangements / tariffs are going to be.

Fortunately, our large order is already placed and they have guaranteed shipping before Christmas.

I will reiterate my views on the Brexit thing. A rich and privaliged elite want us out of thd EU to further their own ends and bugger the consequences. They are backed by the Murdoch empire and installed Demonic Dom at the helm. Four years later he was pulling the strings of their puppet PM.
[/quote]

100% agree.

The rich & powerful people behind this are no fools, they know there is a limit to how much they can grab in any given period of time and I have thought from the outset that Boris has been set up to be moved on when the times right for them. What also concerns me is the two broadcasting licenses that have recently been granted to new UK focused right wing "news" broadcasters.

No surprise when I say ones owned by the despicable "digger Murdoch" https://www.theguardian.com/media/2020/ ... -to-launch

The other one seems to have more than one backer but the Discovery channel appears to the primary backer.

I suspect both of these outlets will push false pro Bexit news to counter the invertible tidal wave of real Brexit bad news, I also suspect they will have a say in who the Tories replace Boris with. These news channels will only increase the opportunity to manipulate the public with the aim of another 4 years in power.

One thing is certain, the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.

No matter what happens to the country you can be damn sure that no one in government (or the chumocracy) will be out of pocket come January 1st, and beyond.

Johnson is on the cusp of finally owning the consequences of his Brexit folly - a folly that he promoted only so that he could be in pole position to succeed Cameron as the next Tory Party leader. The referendum was supposed to be a glorious failure, close but no cigar, a valiant effort against the massively funded, government backed remain programme. 'I did what I could' he would be able to say. The plan went wrong, though, when Leave won. The shock was written all over his face.

Now, the time for bluster, bluff and slogans has run out. Johnson must either agree to a deal that he knows is pretty much like being in the EU, but without having a say in the rules, or he has to face up to the widespread chaos of No-Deal. Either way, Johnson will be vilified, and Johnson hates that, he has no backbone, no courage, he only wants to be popular.

Johnson has appeared weak and uncertain precisely because he knows that those are the failings that have led him to this outcome.

It looks like a sensible deal will depend upon the UK not breaking international law.
Looking more like it will depend on how far Macron is willing to go in an attempt to curry favour with the French electorate

Owning? OWNING!

Paul, he will own nothing and blame the EU for everything, especially the French. Nothing will be his fault, it never f*ck*ng is. ;)

Still, once Sir Graham Brady and the1922 committee et al have leaked the "truth" to the Mail, the Times, and the BBC they'll have all the excuses they need to sack him. Sorry, I obviously mean they'll thank him for his superb leadership and elevate him to the Lords, another tick on his bucket list.

Any deal will have the hard core Brexshiteiers up in arms and Johnson will not be able to bull shit his way out of it. This was always going to be the case. All the talk of a Canada type deal was complete :Bllocks: . Canada is not next door with a land border with a EU country.
