Our government shoulda done a lot more to protect businesses from the Brexit debacle.
They possibly woulda done if it hadn't affected their personal finances so directly.
The Conservatives certainly coulda disguised their blend of ineptitude and ignorance better but didn't really give a flying f*ck who saw it as nobody was capable holding them to account.

Like that you mean?

Shame on how democratic works then, shoulda worked harder to stop it, woulda have illuminated it if we knew, coulda held them to account could we prove it. We have a vote and access to a limitless audience to use it. The milk has been spilt. How do we fix it? :naughty:

This is the only way to rectify the situation, but the Mail, Sun and Express will stop at nothing to prevent it blaming the mess on the EU.

A democracy relies on a majority decision. That's not a majority of intelligent people, just people.

Many of us did ring the alarm bells and this government called us "Project Fear" and, along with their followers, dismissed us.

A majority gained in a referendum doesn't make the decision correct by default, it just makes it a decision.

It was the wrong decision in my opinion and now, it seems, it was the wrong decision in the eyes of many people who actually voted for it because they were happy to accept that the government would be dishing out free unicorns which would be allowed to gallop through the sunny uplands of Brexit. The government lied about pretty much everything and the stupid and the greedy ate up every word.

Now that it's done I don't know that we can fix it, we'll just be suffering the consequences for a long time. We should never have left, and were it possible I'd rejoin tomorrow.

You are absolutely right. Decisions in a democratic society have nothing to do with perceived intelligence. A majority is simply that, no more no less (no pun intended). Whilst I agree with your opinions I understand not how we go forward. Yes I could blame the government, just the same as I could blame the bastards that cut my leccy for 48hours last week. Does it help?

David Cameron is ultimately responsible for over estimating the intellegence of the British public and under estimating their susestibility to bullshit and lies.

Presumably if that One Pearson can predict and define the decisions on a specific outcome i.e. British public opinion, are you not one?
Surely if they are susceptible, are you not with your own version in this? With the best will I have, stand back and think, do you consider yourself apart?
