I am trying to only use them when I really really have to. After I have used them I notice my eyes are worse like they have become lazy after having an easy time :icon-rolleyes:

I started with glasses when I was 25 but still only use them for distance. My sight has not changed much in recent years, but I can see a lot better in good light than poor and and artificial light. The optician says this is due to a cataracht.

I think the good light improvement is due to your iris closing in the strong light and improving the depth of, field - in other words, more of what you are looking at is in focus. The cataract will affect both poor and good light.

The optician said something along those lines when I was there recently. The first tiime for years because of Covid and turning down invites until I was double vaccinated. I have a good legitimite excuse for not driving at night and :guiness;

I had the implant lenses op for cataract about 15 years ago. Still need specs for both close-up and distance vision.

But I have always had eye problems: NHS jam-pots as a kid and later on contact lenses.

Only got one good eye anyway, these days.

Having noticed that too long on the screen of my smartphone is causing me nasty eyestrain, I have just ordered a Lenovo M10 tablet which are on a special weekend deal from Lenovo's own webshop. €120 in place of €160.

Not sure if this offer is active in the UK though.

Just looked on the Lenovo site, there are numerous M10's for sale, one or two with 20 off and one with 33% of 150 down to 100

Very happy with the Lenovo M10 tablet. Supple and responsive performance on wifi, nice high-definition screen, easy to set up with Google and Android automatically copying apps and settings from my smartphone.

One slight niggle is that the headphone socket is a bit dodgy but I can live with that.

Does everything I need at a bargain price.
