Rugby is a throwback to the more savage days of Victorian public schools.

It's the negative memories of playing rugby during Games lessons at schools that's at the core of me thinking "If other people like watching this, then that's entirely up to them".

Cross Country was OK apart from doing it in white plimsolls and the PE teacher insisting that we turned up for the Gym PE lesson the next week with pristine white plimsolls. Which most the other kids did by painting them. I didn't have access to paint at home. Stupid idiotic teacher. What the fuck does it matter if your kit is still stained from running through miles of sodden clay the week before? It certainly didn't merit the whacks on the bottom that he dished out for it.
