As a part of my daughter starting 6th form this month, she was given a test to determine her learning style.
She told me that everyone she spoke to in her class had a visual learning style, except her. She has an auditory & tactile learning style.
I took this 20 question multiple choice test:
http://www.educationplanner.org/student ... quiz.shtml
and I scored 35% Auditory, 35% Visual, 30% Tactile.
With this being a hi-fi forum, I wondered if there'd be more people with Auditory learning styles than in my daughter's class.
There is no right or wrong answer. There is no best learning style. Our learning styles can change over time.
What is your learning style, Visual, Auditory or Tactile?

When I took this VARK test:
https://vark-learn.com/the-vark-questionnaire/
it said that I was strongly a Kinesthetic learner. Which seems to indicate that these online tests in this area are not to be taken seriously. And that they may be a load of cobblers.

Re: What is your learning style, Visual, Auditory or Tactile?
Interesting, on the first test my results were:
Auditory 35%, Tactile 35%, Visual 30%.
and I reckon that VARK test is cobblers as well.
I regard myself as less visually-orientated, which stems from being born extremely short-sighted - only corrected with specs at about 4 years old. So my early 'programming' was primarily auditory/tactile.
More of a 'hands-on' trial-and-error learner who works things out for myself.
The problem, in this modern age, is that computer-based learning sources are mainly orientataed towards visual learning techniques and those with a different style are made to feel inadequate.

Re: What is your learning style, Visual, Auditory or Tactile?
both them questionaires force you to answer even if you wouldnt use any of the options. there should be a none of the above option.
i use microsoft or google to check spellings and I would learn to use a camera emprically.
this fact stopped me from completing them.

Re: What is your learning style, Visual, Auditory or Tactile?
I tried to put myself back in my "student" shoes, which, although fashionable were bloody uncomfortable.
Auditory: 25%
Visual: 50%
Tactile: 25%
As DQ says though, one is forced into choosing an answer which may not represent one's real-world choice. A lot of the time we're simply choosing the "least-worst," option.
Also, regarding question 20, I want to know why someone needs to know how to get to my house when I'm obviously not there.
As for VARK:
Auditory: 25%
Visual: 50%
Tactile: 25%
