Have you nearly finished the welding on the Daihatsu?

Seems like you've done a lot of fabrication on a lot of sections.

Yes, done a lot of work on it. Only one more little piece to cut and tack in. I have some of it fully welded up.but quite a lot to do yet.

It needs both rear suspension spring hangers replacing and a chassis crossmember. Going to need a bigger welder for those bits so I might have to borrow my mates stick welder. I have the parts here ready to go in.

It's been a lot of effort this job (and there will be more little bits to do as the years go by).but these Fourtraks must be one of the simplest and most reliable vehicles ever made. I hope it repays me with 26 more years of trouble free use :grin:
