I would not know Mr Slinger, since I never open those threads, politics no longer interests me.
This forum needs more hifi posts, what are you buying, what would you like to buy, upgrades, tweaks, diy (just for Stu  ) ect. ect.

I posted about the Audiolab 6000N I bought 8 days ago, and so far I've had a total of slightly less than the square root of fuck all replies/acknowledgements.

Firstly, apologies for being pissed as a newt when I started this. It gave me the courage to say what I felt. I love this place and it brings me sadness to see how little is posted or replied to. That's partly my fault so will try harder.

As regards left wing politics , I am left of centre which is very rare in the farming community  . I have no problem with politics being discussed here. Bring it on.

I remember back a little while to when I had my emotional melt down. It can get to you when you try hard to post stuff that may be interesting but there is nothing resulting except tumble weed.

My 12" doc modded bass drivers will soon be coming out of retirement :epopc:

How does it sound? Are you happy with it?
I use two modded Bluesound Node 2i’s (one in each system).

Sound good (after power supply upgrades), but I’m sure there is much better out there.

I need to get a streamer for a friends system, looking for cheaper players, that are still good, ans don’t need a software subscription to use them.
Modded Belles A150 MK2, P90SA, & NVA SSP cables, and LS5.
Leak Stereo 20 & First Audio Classic Copper V2
Modded Lenco GL75 with Saturn arm, heavy custom plinth. Nagaoka MP500.
Nottingham Audio Hyperspace + heavy kit, + Origin Live Conqueror + Koetsu Black
Tom Evans Micro Grove MK2 MC phono
Bluesound Node2i (x2) both with latest power upgrades.
Topping D90MQA and Topping D90SE
Audiolab 6000 CDT transport.
All NVA cables

What I would like to buy is a Behringer Wing but I have to convince the rest of the team that it is better than an Allen and Heath SQ, I suspect that the A&H ME1s will be the deciding factor though, we have two with more coming.

Hi-Fi, I would like an SME V but I can’t justify the cost.

Owston was great today. :text-threadjacked:

It's one of those where maybe once upon a time I would have written up an Event Report. But these days I'm happy to go along and enjoy it for the very pleasant and inspiring day out that it was. And leave it to others to publish photos or reviews - if they want to go ahead and do so.

The A&H looks far more traditional (I'm assuming you're looking at the SQ-6?), but I really like the layout of the Wing. It's got a bigger screen too, which might give it an advantage. The prices are around the same, so I'd plump for the Wing, although it might take longer to "learn" than a more familiar layout.
