Yup the fate of everyman if he is not vigilant - baby DQ and the other half and all the paraphernalia that has to go with it.

Re: What's your poison?
Depends really; If it's baking hot I like nothing better than a freezing cold Budweiser but in the evening it's a nice Malbec, Rioja or sometimes a nice Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum.
Audio Grail "Sable" Garrard 401 with Cumbrian Green Slate plinth / Audiomods 6 / Benz Micro Gullwing SLR, Phono 2, NVA INT400sa. (Oh and a Copland CDA823 CD Player, for when I fancy a bit of the devil's spawn!)

stages of man?
lager in my youth, bitter later, just started to appreciate a pint of mild - recently had one from a Cambridgeshire brewer, Milton mild, delightful.
otherwise, some malt or Armagnac or red wine.
not keen on "flavoured" ciders though.

I visited the Appleton estate last December, sampled some of their fine spirit and spent an afternoon lying by the pool up at the plantation house. Happy days.zebbo wrote:Depends really; If it's baking hot I like nothing better than a freezing cold Budweiser but in the evening it's a nice Malbec, Rioja or sometimes a nice Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum.
I do like a GnT on a warm day though... many times I've had to catch a train in the evenings from Kings Cross to Newcastle. 2 cans of M&S GnT for 4.38 and a reduced sandwich from boots at 50p. That would see me through the journey for a fiver.

Re: What's your poison?
Went off beer a while ago, and cider fries my brain. Weekdays a glass of nice Rioja and at weekend a S.African Chenin Blanc or American Chardonnay. All lovely.

My wife drives me to drink. If I'm really good she gives me a lift home too.

Black Sheep or Lagavulin 18YO . But hardly any of either these days.
Used to prefer smokin' . But gave that up when my kids turned up, just a boring old bugger these days.
