Tuner recommendation.
Hello all.
I'm looking for a quite reasonable tuner. Bid for a Rega unit recently and got bounced by the bidding software. I've had a Quad FM4 unit and although it's reputation is good, it simply wasn't sensitive enough for my signal. I'm about 20miles from the main (Ashkirk) transmitter and there's half a mountain range in-between, so the reception isn't great even with my roof-top aerial.
Also considering a good DAB tuner such as the Cymbol Electronics CDAB-1. My Roberts Stream 83i pulls ina reasonable signal. Any thoughts anyone? PLus of course if any of you have anything half-decent lying around.....

I have a old Sony you can have for free as long as you pay P&P. The one with the circular dial on this page https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/99642210484669024/

Looks interesting... does the flywheel hamster have a particular diet or will corn suffice?

Re: Tuner recommendation.
That's perfectly fine Richard. Shall I arrange to have it collected (DHL) or do you prefer a one-off payment for PandP by PayPal gift?
Regards, Derek

Re: Tuner recommendation.
Additionally Richard... ever thought of making an NVA FM/DAB tuner?

When I first got into hifi, I put an FM antenna on the top of my parents house with an aerial rotator (please no one but me). It worked but I guess you might need a bit of a tall mast!
