Buzzing

Unread post by Ithilstone »

Some time ago I had a visit from electrician and found out that my mains are far from ideal.
I started to look into it as I get worried not only it can degrade music quality but actually damage my gear.
I had a thread for that and got all answers I needed.

I also had power conditioner from power inspired on loan from a friend for couple of days
what I noticed during that time as I was paying for the first time a lot of attention to buzzying
is that AP70 only buzzing from time to time and power conditioner solved that
but AP20 is buzzing constantly and louder that AP70 also power conditioner didn't do
anything to stop it.

I unplugged everything from AP20 to check if the buzzing stops I also moved it to different room
but it is still buzzing.

Anything else I can check? I dont remember it to buzz constantly and whatever is power conditioner
helping with works only for AP70 and not AP20

BTW
As per advice I will not be getting cheap power conditioner (and have no funds for expensive one)
but in stead start to save for BMU

I presume you mean transformer buzz, not through the speaker. All I can do is swop the transformer out and see if that solves it.
