Re: Forum Upgrade
IMO this should be the front page of the forum replacing Portal https://hifisubjectivist.org/search.php ... ive_topics

Re: Forum Upgrade
You can also Access 'New Posts' via quick links but only seven listed. Must be a facility to alter these settings to give similar appearance to AOS.

Re: Forum Upgrade
What I find puzzling is that members have joined at a greater rate in the last couple of years than previously, yet very few have posted more than 10 times. Most regular posters are fairly longstanding members.

Like the new layout with "new posts" section, well done Terry.

Re: Forum Upgrade
For example if my maths are right each post to the AoS thread attracts 50 views, that is each post. Any other forum struggles with that many views per post.

Re: Forum Upgrade
I've added a recent topics panel which will show at the top. The Top 5 has become the top 10. I could collapse all the forums into one line which would then open out like we have it now.

Re: Forum Upgrade
For me still too small hard to use and clunky. The page has a very unfriendly feel.

Re: Forum Upgrade
It doesn't look quite right...and doesn't work quite right.
The recent topics panel is pulling in unread posts (rather than 'active topics)'. Once you've viewed a post from unread posts, that thread will disappear from the list. If you're trying to follow a thread that could be frustrating.
If the top panel pulled in 'active topics' it would look and work very much like the portal did, I think.
The newest posts panel is not good on the eye. If the top panel pulls in 'active posts' which appear in newest order, then the newest posts section could be removed and the most active / newest members stats could be relocated down the page with the 'who is online' display

Re: Forum Upgrade
Change the behaviour of recent topics - now show recent topics (should be by latest post). Removed the top 5. Collapsed to forum.
