Re: More
I dare say my entire system would be called vintage! The newest items are my Quad 99 CD, Tuner and Pre-amp and they must be getting on a bit now. I think I got the tuner in 2011/12. Everything else is over 30 years old and some nearer 40.
I certainly don't want any more.

The emoticons were evil, not mad. I meant to reply in the same sense as your post, ie, good naturedly.

Re: More
If you really want to get me started, just mention most camera club judges. Many of them are utterly clueless. They will look at a B&W image with large swathes of blacks and darks and whine about not having a full range of tones etc. etc. Almost certainly they've never heard of chiaroscuro and would no doubt be highly critical of Da Vinci & Caravaggio.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 12:24 am The interesting thing with photography is that some of the most emotionally satisfying pics are technically naff, lots are black and white. Do we understand that attraction.

Hi Chris
Yes, been that too! I sold the Nikon gear when my back went and use micro 4/3 now. Not on instagram, but I have some snaps at turnbarrelphotography.zenfolio.com My old club has a competition this year just for camera phone images.
I'll take a look at your images - thanks for info. Glad you are into mono. I love stuff by photographers such as W Eugene Smith. There an Anglo-German called John Gay who produced a lot of great mono documentary work with just a Rolliflex 6x6 and its fixed standard lens.
