Does anyone know if a Rega 'Planet' Turntable will fit on the 2016 Rega TT Wall shelf? Im not too shure if the rear foot on the 'Planet' is in the same position as the later Regas! Before anyone says i dont want to move it!
Thanks Dave but dealers are the last place i would go to for advice. The manufacturer or nothing.
The 'Planet' did not change as far as i know with exception to the badging... This is what through experience the changes were. Mines Number 2

If someone has a Standard Rega 'Planar' they could measure the Plinth sides to Rear foot centre/Rear of Plinth to Rear Foot Centre + Front & side of plinth to foot centre that would determine whether they are the same .However if anything it will be the rear foot.
The feet are different on the 'Planet' they are like rubber Door stoppers, nothing like the 'Planar' feet but will sit in the new Optional extra cups that bolt into the shelf. I dont fall for all that specialist bull shite upgrade feet thing, the originals are perfectly fine.
The Regas from the first Planar 2 with R200 and wood trim to current Planar 3 have the feet in much the same place - keep the feet slightly loose on the base and not tightened up! Paul D infers that the Planet itself changed a few times in production. I knew the brand intimately from 1982 onwards (and second hand from 1976 to 1981) but we only had a handful of 'Planets' in for service and cartridge/stylus changes...
Maybe you could mail order a wall bracket to try and send it back for refund if it's not suitable?
