Re: Your last listen
I remember seeing them 40 years ago when they reformed. They were very good and I bought the T shirt. The support was a comedian telling jokes that could not be told today.

Re: Your last listen
Found a stack of Bella Union releases going ultra-cheap on Dodax (still there if you're quick). And have ordered a few that look promising; sometimes it's refreshing to hear new things.
Firstly we have ....
Lanterns On The Lake - 'Beings'
Lanterns On The Lake - Beings [Full album stream]
'Beings' is the third album from Lanterns On The Lake, who combine the wistful delicacy of London Grammar with the epic post-rock guitar-tsunamis of Explosions In The Sky. Thoughtful, emotive and well-constructed music that is certainly worth a listen (and check out their other albums as well).

Re: Your last listen
God forbid that it should come to this!
"Fog On The Tyne".
Did I not already write somewhere here what a total plebian ass-fuck this lp is?
Pub rock, chorous-laiden sing-a-long muck made formulatically for the tittilation of the goyem.
Are you baiting me Chucky?
I KNOW cos as recent as 6 months ago I listened to this piss-soak.
The unfortunate episode went like this: in a used record store where I never found anything of use, I was surprized to see a nice brit. orig of their live lp going for just 2 dollah. Wisely, I checked it out on the internet and saved myself 2 dollah. But at the same time I listened to side one of this fucking atrocity you praise, this "Fog on the Tyne", cos I read somewhere that they had so tapped the goyems' pulse as to make THE NUMBER ONE SELLING British LP OF 1972! Unbelievable if true.
Back in the day I was sucked into buying this Lindisfarne lp cos I noticed they were label-mates of Genesis and Van Der Graff (and Monty Python). I had heard they were rather folky, so I was thinking "touring with VDGG and Genesis, Lindisfarne's music must be rather unique." I was thinking Incredible Stringband or Magna Carta.
But it turns out nothing is further from the reality.
Lindisfarne is Music For The Masses.
That is about as harshly as lind Child can put it.
Fuck Lindisfarne. (Not the actual place, though.)

[BBvideo=560,315]https://youtu.be/EY7lvuVjjX4[/BBvideo]Evening gents, long time no see
A bit bored so thought I'd drop in, amazingly my browser still remembered my login details! Not had anything to do with hifi or forums for years now, couldn't be arsed with the drama anymore. Anyway, currently listening to the video above, the infamous air-raid recording, 5:43-5:57 you can hear the AA guns... Those musicians must of had balls of steel, much respect.
Have a good one, I'll drop in again sometime soon.
James.

Ozric Tentacles - Technicians Of The Sacred.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way...The time has gone, The song is over, Thought I'd something more to say...
