I'd read it again if I were you.
I tend to think you need to be a smart as me if your going to be as arrogant as me. Having not been me for 18 months or so while my brain worked things out, I have a unique insight.

I'll take that as you saying I was right.Daniel Quinn wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 11:55 am I'd read it again if I were you.

Not that being "right" is important of course.

I took them and think they're fine. But I have nothing to compare them to. Maybe I try the Audio Notes one day.

Re: Amps - Whats in em and why?
Polypropylene caps are superior to electrolytics in the signal path of an amp as far as SQ is concerned. This would be true for power supplies also, but polys would be huge in size in the values generally used, which is why ‘lytics are used. Polys will also last far longer than lytics.

Were these the Tantalum 0,5W, 1W or 2W ones or the non-magnetic or the silver non-magnetic (only if you like to tell!)?savvypaul wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 1:25 pm4 of us all preferred the Audio NotesHannes-Gregor wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 1:22 pm I took them and think they're fine. Have a chat with Tomasz by PM - he is the 'fine details' man when it comes to values.Hannes-Gregor wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 1:35 pmWere these the Tantalum 0,5W, 1W or 2W ones (only if you like to tell!)?savvypaul wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 1:25 pm4 of us all preferred the Audio NotesHannes-Gregor wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 1:22 pm I took them and think they're fine.
