Not necessarily. The problems with the Linn, (and others), is that the springs are in compression which is inherently unstable with soft springs. These feet, and all PT turntables, use the springs in tension which works much better, (apparently).

Audio Grail "Sable" Garrard 401 with Cumbrian Green Slate plinth / Audiomods 6 / Benz Micro Gullwing SLR, Phono 2, NVA INT400sa. (Oh and a Copland CDA823 CD Player, for when I fancy a bit of the devil's spawn!)

Re: Boing
Plus the springs on LP12 are betwwen sub platter with bearing attached and the top plate which has the motor attached.
It's a whole different ball game using springs as feet under the whole deck, plinth and all.

Re: Boing
I bought the Doc’s PL71. It came with 4 “boing” type feet. Richard admitted on this forum that he got sucked in by a bit of hype. It can happen to any of us.
The boings have been replaced by a set of proper PL71 feet. The tt is a lot more stable with the proper feet and to be honest, I can’t hear any difference.
My advice is spend the money on some records or a NVA phono stage (when they are available).
