I know this thread is a bit of fun, but it is worth being a bit serious for a minute.
I suggest Slinger’s copied hollow breeze block speaker photo is a spoof. Unless the two chambers have been opened up (broken through), the bass reflex port is in the wrong place. There is no benefit to the tweeter to be in a ported chamber. It is the main driver that needs the port.
Hmm, concrete plinths for turntables. Probably better than the original lightweight thin wood structures, but not a patch on natural Slate with it’s natural CLD qualities. Same rule applies to Granite bases. Granite is crystalline and therefore does not properly dissipate energy like a CLD design does. Even the plywood/mdf/rubber sheet/metal sheet designs will work better than concrete or Granite.
