The shortage of lightbulbs is part of the necessary transition to a high wattage, low lumen post brexit economy.
There is no shortage of lightbulbs, only an excessive demand for lightbulbs.
Conservative Central Orifice has issued the following statement.

From: CCO.
To: Gullible Daily Express readers et al.
This shortage is, in actuality, being caused by the British public's insistence upon the misguided opinion that these glorious Sunny Uplands actually seem to them more like a pictorial representation of William Blake's "Dark, Satanic Mills". Coincidentally, Boris Johnson has, today, welcomed Mr D.S. Mills into his cabinet as the new Minister for Putting Down. He will work in tandem with the minister for Levelling Up under the banner of "Forging Unity," or F.U. for short.
CCO

Mr Johnson was not available for comment but did send us a lovely new picture of himself, with Jennifer Arcuri's knickers in his top pocket, and an accompanying press statement (in crayon) which reads "It hasn't been anywhere near Photoshop, ego semper recta, no returns yah-boo-sucks plebs, Bunter wins again."

The politicians who shouted 'Project Fear' are now denying any responsibility for doing anything about the 'fears' that quickly came true.

Business needs to sort it out...we gave them 24 hours notice of the Brexit deal.

Nothing to do with us, Guv. We haven't a clue how you got into this mess. Certainly, nobody on our side saw it coming. Total fucking surprise. Right out of the blue, it was.

You small-to-medium business chappies really need to sort yourselves out and start paying people shit-loads of money to do your shitty little jobs so the poor people stop whining. We're doing our bit by killing as many of them as we can, so surely you can support the ones we miss? We've been saying this since half-past-three for years.

There. I've just summarised the Tory Party Conference.

Remember everyone, the EU offered us a Europe-wide creative visa waiver during TCA negotiations, which the UK's chief negotiator Lord Frost REJECTED.

Presumably that's the last of the UKIP and Conservative MEP's finally being repatriated?

With approximately 30,000 ex-British citizens now residing permanently in The Netherlands, that works out as 1 ton of shit per person.

Please deliver my ton to 10 Downing St for the personal attention of B. Johnson.
