Anyone going to this?
A write up and some photos, if you can.
We (NVA) turned this one down - we've got new Cubes, a new integrated amplifier, new amplifier boards, field agents all hitting the streets in early Spring, so we will concentrate on next year's shows, starting with the North West in June.

I have seen a few notes on other forums and they all sound (no pun intended) disappointed , shame.

Re: UK Hi-Fi Show today & tomorrow - Daventry
Rooms really are bastard things. Doc used to say semi omni works with the room rather than fighting it. With all due respect, semi omni or even omni is not a cure all for room problems. In my extensive fooling about with speakers semi omni has had it's fair share of problems. It suffers from room modes & destructive cancellation (dips in the FR) just like everything else. Speaker placement can help a bit.
I think it is a bit of a pointless exercise going to hear any gear in crappy rooms (don't bother coming here coz mine is as crap as they come). It is our own rooms that count which is why with speakers it is the only place worth auditioning them. But then we all knew that already so I'll shut up.

Manufacturers do shows because it puts their gear in front of people, but they are a long way short of ideal, for many reasons. We will do (some) shows, but field agents, doing demos in peoples own homes, will be a far more meaningful thing for us. Shows can be a jolly for our best selling agents!
