In my home that's a euphemism for piddling in the back yard?

Pleasant temperature today. Can sit in the garden again with the headphones and a beer. Unless there is a thunder storm.

Re: Bloody weather
Sub zero temperatures really are the devil's work. Since being laid up last week I am finding it very hard to cope with the current temperatures. Its made me into a wimp. Times like these I want another job.

Re: Bloody weather
After a couple of mild winters I had forgotten what it is to be cold.
-5C here this morning and under zero all day.
We had our annual Christmas music evening here in the village yesterday. I was in a quartet singing Carols in an unheated barn in sub-zero temperatures but we kept ourselves warm with hot chocolate and mulled wine.

Re: Bloody weather
Thr sun is out here for a change Haven't seen it in a while, makes all the difference even if it is cold.
I've progressed from the fire pit to the pot bellied stove. Much more efficient. I do some work for half an hour then go sit beside it for 10 mins. Boils my water for lashings of tea. BTU = British tea units
I'm burning some wood shreddings that went through my waste shredder a few years ago and I prevented from composting. Saves burning stuff that will be going on the stove in the house.

Re: Bloody weather
Pic of my log pile. It goes back twice as far as that post with the red fire extinguisher on it. I start getting nervous when it gets down to less than three years supply. Luckily that hasn't happened in quite a few years.
