Stuart Kicks made a less than kind comment on that youtube video.

The point that he made in the review about dynamic headrom with 84 to 85 db efficient speakers made no sense to me.
All you do is turn the volume knob up. As long as it's loud enough and you haven't quite reached max volume then that's good enough.
There's a huge difference between using a different part of the volume control range and running out of dynamic headroom.

And, the reviewer maybe hasn't realised that the first 50 percent of available volume is spread across the first 75 percent of the volume knob travel (to give fine adjustment where you most need it). At around 3 o clock on the pointer, you are still attenuating by 50 percent.

There's one guy in the comments who complained about using our speaker cable and the cost involved. He came to my house and (barely) listened to an INT400. At the time he auditioned the gear, we had an offer of free speaker cable, but he still twisted.

He also comments that the reviewing location was not ideal. That's because he brought large ported floor standers with him and insisted on using them in the demo in my small to medium size lounge. He also listened to about 10 seconds of a track and then wanted everything swapped around so that he could compare the same ten seconds. Apparently , he'd been auditioning and choosing his hifi that way for 20 odd years but never kept anything for long. I got him out the door as quickly as I could, tbh, waved him off and went down the pub. We have since changed our speaker cable policy, of course. If the bloke wants to have an argument about using it when it's free, you know it's time to give up, lol.

Then, when you are explicit about cable requirements to give people the info they need to safely use non NVA cables, Stuart Kicks comes along.

NVA is not for everyone, I'm delighted to say.

Some people like "HI-Fi" Some people like music. I know which people I would rather deal with.
I think I might be in the HiFi trade.
I am not currently seeking treatment for this.
