My next new favourite band ...

Long Distance Calling 'How Do We Want To Live?' (2020)

There is an American Post-Rock band called Maserati who make strong rhythmic music heavily influenced by the Krautrock groups of the 70's.

So here we have Long Distance Calling, a German group sounding remarkably like Maserati. Big beats, chiming guitars with heavenly atmospheres and solid, powerful melodies.

Post-Rock fans of names like Mogwai, Mono and Explosions in the Sky need to get their ears around Long Distance Calling.

... and the recording quality is just sublime!

Some albums that didn't really impress on CD come over as mind-blowingly good on LP.
