I finally found the answer - periodic tables.
And one that wasn't (but probably has been or will be)
They tried running aircraft on gas. It didn't work too well - the pilot kept going out.

Scientists over there have further enhanced this process and have invented a toilet which captures the solid deposit and analyses it before disposal. They can tell a lot about the health of the donor and, by storing the data, distinguish reliably between different donors.
Several commentators have noted that this may have applications in information technology practice around identity management where it will give an entirely new nuance to the phrase 'logging on.'
