Second Power Amp

As mentioned in my Hello thread I do have a question as to how to proceed having decided that I should add a second power amp to the existing P50 / A60 setup.

Now we're talking Mk1 case design (aesthetic sympathy) and thinking of the power amp and speaker cables as a system, and also because there is a budget involved it seems there might be two routes to take, but which will provide the better step.

Option 1 is add another A60 and use LS2 cable
Option 2 is add an A30 and use LS1 cable

Will probably also add entry level interconnects to mix in either case as no nva cables in use at present, but seems to make sense to extend that system, vaguely think the existing interconnects are Spiralex(?)

BTW I assume that the A30 uses the same case as the A60?

Also recognise that taking either of the above steps probably starts me on about two years of system 'instability' as change one thing............last time it took me three years one element a year!

A30 mk1 uses mini width case, A60 uses midi width case. Bi amp for treble only then A30/ LS1 would be better than A60 / LS2.

Actually the style police have asked could the A30 come in an A60 case?

Nope sorry.

Anyway a present A60 case is not the same size as the old ones.
