The Dinner Thread.
Re: The Dinner Thread.
Spicy borlloti beans with green beans, Corgettes and red peppers in a spiced tomato sauce, whole rice, Onion bhajis and parathas. Steadman is a bit of a curry specialist and though I says it myself what shouldn't, it was bloody delicious.
Lemon sorbet to finish.
I did enough paratha dough to last three days. Love the stuff.
If a July visitor is R E A L L Y lucky, I might condescend to cook another.

Ah well, thereby hangs a tale...........Daniel Quinn wrote:Where is the meat
.........last week, we had guests who, sadly, had to leave before lunch. I had all the ingredients ready and some were cooked the day before in preparation. So my wife and I had the pre-cooked stuff for lunch that day. Chicken Korma, Kashmiri red lamb stew (Rogan Josh to you) plus the bread.
The Lamb is probably the most delicious food I have ever had. The lamb is cooked in yoghurt until its totally absorbed and tenderised. Fennel, ginger, garlic paste is then introduced and the whole lot slow cooked for a couple of hours. The flavour is so intense that it boggles the taste buds.
Gawd I love Indian food.

Must say I like it a lot myself but there are lots of foods that tickle my taste buds.

There is little better than fresh mint. I have a whole patch of it in my garden.
