Dual monitors?

Unread post by slinger »

I'm using two 24" monitors at home and some time ago I remarked in a thread how useful a dual monitor configuration is to me. Admittedly I was talking about watching cricket on one and working on the other at the time (brilliant I.P.L. T20 game today RCB won in the last over) but I do use them for 'proper' things too. It's great having my Photoshop tools on one 'page' and the image I'm working on on the other. Same with 3D modelling; tools on one page, workspace on the other. Right now I have Film 4 on the left hand monitor and I'm typing this looking at the right hand screen. Does anyone else out there use dual monitors on a daily basis, and if so then what do you use them for?

Shows what a twonk I am. Dual conjured up images of the turntable brand and monitor makes me immediately think of speakers. is there no hope for this man?  :ugeek:

Well and truly I used to use a 27" and a 24" which I was happy with and an older Mac Pro I got the new Mac Pro to test for my clients for any problems. I have only got the bottom of the range Mac Pro

Dual monitors is the closest I get to multitasking, but absolutely essential for trying to work 'paperless'.

I've always used dual monitors, these days I tend to use my MacBook Pro laptop and then a 24" Dell Ultrasharp Display.

I use the combo for all sorts, email, twitter, social, design, website dev, Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator, proofing etc – for me it's just a faster more efficient way of working.
My Kit – I moved to home theatre setup sorry...Denon SR7011, Anthony Gallo A'Diva SE Fronts, SpeakerCraft Profile AIM LCR3 One Rears, BK Electronics XLS200-DF MK2 Sub, Epson Projection.

But I would love a cheeky little AP10, AP20 sort of amp for a bedroom setup...
