The Model Helicopter thread

Oh OK Cagey.

If we must

These are the picks I posted when Stan got all excited about 12W through a soldered joint. (Heaven only knows what the circuit board on a Bushmaster looks like - breadboard push connect presumably)

Solder still hasn't melted yet. Few other misadventures, but no worries shoving 770W through the joints!

Here is a library picture of the fleet.

Image

In order of size there is a mSR, mCPX, Trex 250SE, Gaui X2, Honey Bee V2, Guru-Z Neon, Trex 450 Sport, Trex 450 Pro, Compass Atom 500 and a Protos 500.
3 fixed pitch helicopters, 2 flybar helicopters and the rest are FBL with various controllers.

I have been tempted by something bigger, but the crash costs put me off.

Nice collection. I think I may be just about ready to move onto flybarless. And as I said to you earlier will probably looking at a Blade mcpx next to add to my Blade 450x and Trex 600.

The 600's are much easier to fly, much less bothered by wind, and MUCH more expensive to repair when it all goes wrong

I can recommend the Bavarian Demon 3SX, but you will need a minimum of 7 channels (I think)
It's got an awesome bail out feature which sends your helicopter skywards at the flick of a switch. sure It's expensive, but if it saves you twice on a 600, it's paid for itself.
