I aint interested if your watch cost £10 or £10,000 , it makes no difference to me .
Also far prefer analogue to digital display - my brain takes in/utilises the information faster.
Although, you do have a point about them being a status symbol for some people, but the same could be said about any jewelry/clothing/car/ etc. etc.
