What is the computer. Deos it definitely have to be a USB to coax.

DSJR. It can not be spdif. From docs pics of dac it as to be coax cable.

Edit .seems what you posted is coax

Your talking about not using the best (in musical terms) DAC ever made in any century.

It is Coax input but isn't that spdif. Now I am really getting confused - feckin' computers :x

Doc, here is a simple and neat litle USB DAC that will give you acceptable sound from your computer.
I've still got one on a PC, was my first outboard DAC.

If this is a dac I don't want a dac I want an adapter so my computer will go into my DAC!!

Well as far as i can see,you have two options---Cheap one--the fanmusic that Dave suggested that has limited quality,or an M2tech Hiface,that will give your Dac all the info it can handle.I know which one i would go for... :whistle: 8-)

Richard,I have both a Musical Fidelity Vlink II or a hifimediy USB dac which also acts as a USB /SPDIF converter. You are welcome to borrow either to try.
