A lot of DACs have remote volume control, so that’s an alternative if you listen to digital.

Removable grills if the cubes come back into production.

I agree that the Cube grilles are a bit meh, but they certainly protect the drivers. I did actually have a search round on'tinternet myself but couldn't find anything much better. Bespoke items would be expensive to implement I would have thought. My biggest bug-bear has always been the nasty "Maplins" knobs on the P90sa, would some nice, slightly bigger, (and with a clear ident), knobs be too difficult? Other units in the range have them.
On the whole though, I wouldn't want to see the core designs altered.

XLR connections on speakers and other appropriate components would be nice.

You want NVA to make active speakers?

Yes. I use the remote control of my RME DAC.

Will look into both.
Thanks, Zebbo.

Regarding remote control on passive preamps - I'm afraid it rather defeats the idea of a passive.
I understand the attraction, though. Ali's suggestion re DACs with volume controls is the path I have gone down, myself.
If you listen to vinyl then you are used to getting up and down - and it is worth it

I really like my Cubettes but could do with a bit more bass so I think Cube 3s would be just right. If the Cubes are released in a revised form in the future I'd like to see a better quality grille, maybe recessed and a finer mesh?
Also, as much as I like my P50SA and A20, a remote controlled integrated amp would be very nice.
There were some computer images posted recently of an NVA amp. On my screen the colour looked more like a very dark satin grey which looked great, so possibly offering different finishes would be interesting.
Thanks, LJ,
Will look into grille options.
A remote in an integrated would make more sense than in a passive pre.
Different colours could happen, if there is sufficient demand. Perhaps a crowdfunded limited edition...
