My son has come out of isolation now. My daughter and I didn't get it. You can live in the same house as someone with covid and not get it. Bonkers.

It would probably be nice to live somewhere that has ambulances...just in case.

What is worse than waking up one morning and learning that you have caught covid?

Waking up one morning and learning that you are a member of the conservative party....

I'll get me coat.

I think more people are starting to wake up to the idea that they are about to suffer as a result of the Conservative Party. 10 years of slicing away funding to public services. The ambulance service has been forced to budget on a purely short term basis, having to beg every year for enough funds just to have a small chance of maintaining service levels, unable to commit to investments because they cannot get guarantees about funding in future years. This is partly why there are not nearly enough new ambulance crews in training. It's the same in the rest of the NHS, schools, social care, transport, even the army, police and fire brigade.

This mealy-mouthed method of funding is an ideological symptom of Conservatives who consider public services to be a burden. They only want to do 'just enough' that the people don't hound them out, and they then baffle the public with misleading statistics.

If you are not a millionaire, and you vote Conservative, you are being conned.

Agreed, public services have been gradually gutted since Thatcher so that now all we are left with is the shell of the NHS and an education system that can barely educate our children well enough to read road signs etc*.

Yet I suspect they'll get in the next time and to be honest the only difference I can see between them and the majority of labor is the color of their ties..

* bonus points if you catch the 'other' party I was paraphrasing.

I don't know but at least the great majority get over covid eventually, conservatism, not so much.
