Nice to see my comment were removed, and to question on "who is Nick" he works for BSI standards test lab.
So I think he may have the knowledge on safety stuff has he has done this job for 30yrs.

I have removed nothing, who are you and what do you want? I still don't know who Nick is and why he is relevant to me making things. I also don't understand the question, it seems you are saying that each time I make something there should be months of test, that is why I said are you sure your friend Nick is not just an idiot spouting things he knows nothing about. There are hundreds of idiots on the forums and loads of Nick's I would think. Your question at the moment makes about as much sense as "why don't I spread butter on all my PCBs". If you can ask a question I can reply to of a specific nature I will reply with pleasure.

OK you have altered your post and explained more about Nick. Well unless he is touting for business for the lab then he should know that it is not required legally to go to a test lab to certificate and most people don't as they charge a fortune. Built into the regs is a process known as self certification where you draw up a paper showing that you have complied with the regs. On the A40 and the other amps I did that in the early 90's so I would think 20 years should be long enough
The changes in case for mk2 haven't altered the basis of the self certification so only needs an added footnote.
