Slinger is the original flying picket. To think Thatcher had to bring in a whole law just to deal with him.

"Flying pickets are striking workers that move from one workplace to another to picket them. Usually flying pickets are illegal - you can only join a picket line at your workplace."

Blocking London City airport runways, just because you have beef about something, endangering safety and hurting users. Illegal so removed and all charged. So what is the difference to the junior doctors strike, they also have beef, they also are endangering patients safety and hurting users. They should be subject to EXACTLY the same deterrent.

Re: Doctors Strike....
Why are doctors different to anyone else? Simply because their future earning potential is better? The vast majority remain as Doctors specialising in various fields, only a select few would go on to become a consultant.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:Doctors!! stop twisting my words. What about the rights of the tax payer. What about the rights of the patient. Or is the only thing that is important these spoilt children. They would love to think that is the case
The likes of you and I are lucky in that we are self employed and can make whatever arrangements we want. I'm afraid saying that a worker's "normal" working hours are Monday to Saturday 07:00 - 22:00 is simply draconian in a modern, civilised country. Hunt is banking on these people's consciences preventing them fro fighting back but they have called him out and rightly so.

Re: Doctors Strike....
FFS Zebbo this has been answered in the thread this came one it came out of. Any profession and job that endangers life by striking then it should be made illegal.
I listed
Doctors and Nurses
Police
Ambulance and Paramedics
Fire
Army
If it was up to me I would make ALL strikes illegal and force them to be locked in a room (imprisoned) until they come to a compromise, or they should just be left there with no sleep and no food until they do.
