I don't know, not enough information. Higher than they are offering but with room for compromise.

inter party recoverable hourly rates are set by central government and they must pay for everything within a practice .

but it could be worse , legal aid criminal lawyers are now subject to a reduced fixed fee . Well they would if they had not been on strike for the past 35 days The country will be shortly overrun with un-convicted criminals , but it seems a few train drivers raising concerns about nite work in london is more important . ;)

It's good advice - just non-specific.

My consultancy fee is £45/hour and I don't pro rata.

At least that is what I tell them at work when they want me to answer the phone before 0900 hrs ;)

none specific advise is in effect platitudes .

it is analogous to a football manager saying go out there and score more goals than them . ;)

In the absence of detailed information it is the only advice possible, vauleless though it may be.

Anyway I think it is positive that they are at least making an offer now. 'If your opponent is of a choleric temper, irritate him.' :mrgreen:
