Yes. Added weight and removed some HF 'hash'.

It also works for my WTL turntable, so 2 wins for the price of 1 (if I don't mind switching the lead over).

Something else im having trouble grasping is why people spend so much on DAC's!!

When you can make a half decent regulated linear supply, or buy a Chinese one as the Doc is using, both for around forty quid, it kind of makes a £200 plus equivalent, albeit of UK design, hellishly expensive though...

I haven't done this on mine, but you could always add an S-Booster to further smooth and filter the DC supply - my own S-Booster is on the Caiman supply to the Digit...

I think I will wait until the DAC bake off before deciding on a PS.

Has anyone tried a battery pack with one of Docs Dacs?

Thinking about maybe an external power pack / phone charger something like this maybe?

I ran a Raspberry Pi from a powerbank for a while. That sounded better than with a wall-wart but a solid linear PSU gave a noticeable improvement in SQ over the battery.

If it works out and you want something that lasts longer between charges try one of these. Hi Power!
I have a couple like this I take camping, you could potentially have 25600mhr on tap but i just use old laptop tare downs which cost me nothing and I consistantly get between 1000 & 2500mhr per battery, a lot of the time its one battery failure and the whole pack shuts down so you tend to get a few good batts, sometimes 9 per pack.
